From Maritime Law to Startup Life: Why I Believe in Jett Sender’s Mission

Hello! My name is Eugenia Munguía. I’m a lawyer with a Master’s degree in Maritime Affairs, specialized in Maritime Law and Policy from the World Maritime University in Malmö, Sweden. Today, I proudly serve as Corporate Secretary at United Jetpackers Inc., where I also support legal management, administration, human resources, and help lead the recruitment strategy for our first Jettsenders.

But beyond degrees and job titles, my journey has been a reflection of persistence, adaptability, and deep personal commitment.

In 2019, my husband lost his job and decided to launch a small construction business in his hometown, San Pedro Sula, while we were still living in Tegucigalpa. For over a year, we commuted back and forth every two weeks — doing our best to keep family and dreams moving forward. It was a difficult season, but one that taught us resilience and perspective.

In 2020, I was offered the role of Legal Director at a public institution. That’s where I first met Luis, who would later become one of the co-founders of United Jetpackers. A year later, now with two children, I made the decision to move permanently to San Pedro Sula. I dedicated myself to supporting our family business and being more present at home — but I never stopped feeling the drive to keep growing professionally.

By 2024, I returned to the workforce with renewed energy — collaborating with a law firm in Tegucigalpa, teaching as a guest lecturer in a master’s program on Port Management and Maritime Transport, and taking on legal consulting projects for international organizations. That’s also when I officially joined United Jetpackers.

What began as legal support soon evolved into broader responsibilities. I’ve grown alongside the company, learning every step of the way. Today, I’m part of a team of passionate, talented people, all committed to building something that truly matters. Each of us contributes to the structure, culture, and mission of the company in our own way.

Currently, I’m preparing to take the Florida Bar Exam — a step that will allow me to keep strengthening my professional skills and better serve our Jettsenders, investors, and the communities connected through the Jett Sender App.

What makes me believe in this project so strongly isn’t just the innovation — it’s the purpose. Jett Sender isn’t just about packages and logistics. It’s about transforming everyday journeys into real opportunities for growth, income, and connection.

And I’m honored to be part of it.
